As Team Leader, you manage the daily operations of your team. You ensure that the set objectives are achieved and you support and motivate the operators in their daily tasks through coaching and feedback.
In addition, you are responsible for a smooth flow of information and ensure clear communication. You organise and lead team meetings, you report absences and you always clearly inform the operators of the planning and division of tasks.
Furthermore, you ensure correct compliance with existing safety, quality and production regulations. To this end, you carry out audits on the work floor. You provide regular training so that all operators work according to the same standards. This is part of a training plan that is meticulously adhered to. Finally, you follow up the KPIs on the basis of predefined objectives. Together with your team, you strive for maximum output without loss of safety, quality and yield.
In this role, you work together with other departments and are the SPOC (single point of contact) for the other departments. You report to the Production Supervisor.
You have practical knowledge of improvement techniques (Lean Management - Operational Excellence). You have an affinity for technical production processes and are aware of the importance of hygiene and safety. Affinity with the food or related sector and knowledge of HACCP are an asset. You also have clear leadership skills.
Solution-oriented and flexible approach are important, along with clear communication with involvement of the operators and a good analytical insight. Furthermore, your positive attitude, dynamism and flexibility motivate the entire department.
